Реакция Манту у детей: как проводится и что означает результат?

The Mantoux test is not a vaccine. It is a tuberculin skin test used to assess whether the immune system has reacted to tuberculosis antigens and whether further evaluation may be needed.
How the test is performed
A small amount of tuberculin is injected into the skin of the inner forearm, producing a small raised area. The site should not be covered with an adhesive bandage or treated with antiseptics or creams. Accidental contact with water is not a reason to panic, but the area should not be rubbed, scratched, or steamed.
When the result is read
International guidance recommends reading the reaction 48 to 72 hours after administration; in Russian practice it is commonly assessed at 72 hours. A trained professional measures the firm swelling, or induration, rather than the area of redness.
What the result means
Interpretation depends on the measurement, the child’s age, previous results, BCG vaccination history, possible TB exposure, and other risk factors. A positive skin test does not by itself diagnose active tuberculosis. The pediatrician or TB specialist may recommend additional tests.
Parents in Penza can discuss TB screening schedules with a pediatrician at BabyClinic.
Important: The result should be measured and interpreted by a trained healthcare professional.
